Interesting. I picked up on a few things. I liked one activity where the students traced another and discussed the changes/growth in characters.

Hi class,


Reviewing my notes on the student interviews from video 6 (and some of the other videos), it seems that some of the students interviewed intrepreted what they read (in fictional novels) as historical fact. I can't remember which student, but remember her making a statement that all people in the 1930's acted a certain way based upon a character portrayed in To Kill a Mockingbird. This video in particular led me to a classroom activity where students did Internet research allowing them to put a novel (fiction) they were reading in a factual, historical context.
