    While watching the videos I noticed that most of the classes seemed to
    be well engaged with the novels they were reading. Our classes
    hypothesized that the students were mostly honors/gifted students and
    have a grasp on the themes and language contained in these novels. Have
    you, or do you know of, teachers who pair YA novels with more
    sophisticated, required reading to help "regular" students struggling
    with the themes and language contained in the required novels? If so,
    what YA novels are you choosing and what has the feedback been from the
