During Launching Inquiry I liked the use of the KWL charts. I usually use
the KWL chart as a method for pre-assessment in my classroom. I am then able
to use the students prior knowledge and misconceptions to lead the inquiry
    lessons.

The launch doea take a lot of time. But it is critical that the launch be
given enough time and proper investigation. The launch is the most critical
stage to get everyone in the classroom on the same page. I have found that
if the students get lost at the beginning of a unit that they may flounder
around aimlessly for the rest of the unit. It is so hard to get the lost
students back with the group. Take the time and get everyone where they need
    to be.
