I also thought that the first video clip was very powerful. I have always
practiced in my classroom that I am an inquirer also. I believe that it is
important for the students to see that I don't have all the answers. I also
thought that it was a powerful statement to say that Inquiry starts before
they come to school. It should be the teachers job to go beyond the
students' natural curiosity. We need to be facilitators of knowledge. We
need to create environments that inquiry is allowed to happen. If we do not
create these atmospheres, then our classrooms will be nothing more than
individuals reproducing knowledge. We need to ensure that our classrooms are
filled with producers of knowledge!
