Hello,
I also agree that the first workshop was very interesting. I teach the 5th grade, and I will definitely be able to use this in my classroom. I was amazed at how well the students were able to answer their own questions and critique themselves. Also, for the students to come up with their own questions, and know how to explore their ideas was great!

As an enrichment, during Sun-Earth-Day during the total solar eclipse, my students calculated coronal mass ejections to determine the relationship between position, average velocity, and average acceleration using SOHO images provided by NASA and UC Berkeley's solar week activities.

It was obvious that they had a very good understanding of what was expected of them. One of the attempts was to find out how big of a crater an asteroid would make if it hit the earth's surface. They used good analytical skills in getting their answers.
