[Teacher-talkchemistry] Chemical Bonding Labs/Activities

I am a physical science teacher and I was wondering if any of you have great labs, activities, demos, or know of newer websites for chemical bonding. If possible could you share any that involve ionic and covalent bonding? Also do any of you have effective lessons for distinguishing between polar and nonpolar covalent? I've used the ball and stick models for bonding, a gumdrops and toothpicks lab, and some online interactives. Besides chemical bonding, does anyone have an easy method for students to remember how to balance chemical equations or websites for practicing balancing chemical equations? I use a rhyme and a list of steps. I really appreciate any other ideas out there.
Thank you,
