I assign each student a scientist and then they present them in
chronological order. We also have models of some of the most famous
experiments ready (like the goldfoil experiment) that are hands on and
allow students to see how these things were discovered. The rummy game
does help especially with freshman - if they do the cards (we call
them ion chips) as freshmen, I do not have to go over the charges and
how they combine much in chemistry.
