Important Dates for Warmer Regions (Zones 8-11) Start Bulb Pre-Chill Treatment by November 23, 2009 Your bulbs must be pre-chilled in a refrigerator for at least 6 weeks. In order to plant the first week of January, November 23, 2009 is the latest date you can start this process.     Report Your Garden Planted After your bulbs have been pre-chilled for at least 6 weeks you can plant them. Report to Journey North after planting and see your garden spot appear on the tulip garden map. Report in - click on the Sightings button - with the date your garden was.   Plant Your Garden by the FIRST week of January, 2010 Plant your tulips any time during the first week of January, 2009.
