appear on the map of participants.

Our Butterflies
are made exactly as follows. They:
- Represent
students' very best art (gallery quality).
- Are smaller
than 1/2 piece of paper (5 1/2" x 8"). (For ideas, see
template.)
- Are flat,
made of recycled paper, not 3-dimensional, and have no 3D decorations.
- Include
student's first name, initial, and the school's name & full
address typed on each butterfly. (If using an address stamp--make
sure your entire address is legible!) Make
sure your address stamp and return envelope address match.
- Are ambassadors,
and carry typed messages of support and gratitude to Mexican students.

Fall Mailing Envelope is exactly
as follows (see
example):
- Is Postmarked
by October 13, 2009, and
addressed to: "Send a Monarch 2009" c/o Journey North,
19130 Highland Ave., Wayzata, MN 55391 USA
- Contains
no more than 30 butterflies. (1 envelope per 30 butterflies.)
- Shows
the exact number of butterflies enclosed, written on the front.
- Contains
a self-addressed return envelope for spring. (See below.)

Spring Return Envelope is
as follows (see
example):
- Has exactly
$2.00 postage (stamps
only) affixed for the return trip from MN.
- Canadian
Mail: Choices are: $2 Canadian postage, $2 US postage, or 3 International
Reply Coupons (IRC).
- We
DID NOT use a postage meter, or a PRIORITY MAIL envelope, and
no tape is covering the stamps.
- Is self-addressed
with teacher's name and school's full address (same address as stickers
on butterflies). Return address is Journey North.
- Shows
the exact number of butterflies we sent, written on
the front.
- Is at
least 10" x 13."

is enclosed.
- Our donation
for the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Foundation
is enclosed.
- Our own
name and school are written on the check (so we can be recognized).
- The outside
of our fall shipping envelope proclaims: "We're Helping Monarchs!"
