In
recent years, more and more observers have reported seeing
both types of birds. If one landed on your feeder, could
you tell which type it was? Try this!
Look
again at this ruby-throated hummingbird.
Write
down all the colors and shapes you see — and where on
the body you see them. (Scientists call these "field
marks.")
Draw
a picture of the rubythroat. This is the best way to make yourself
look closely — and remember!
