Learning Volume Units and Their Symbols

Volume is also measured differently in the metric and the British systems. In the metric system, the different units of volume again relate to one another based on multiples of 10, and they are measured using a graduated cylinder. The basic unit of volume in the metric system is the liter.

In the English system, volume is commonly measured in ounces. The units of volume measurement in both systems have their own distinct names and symbols.

Let's play a game to help you learn the names of the volume units in the British and metric systems and their symbols.
