Dear Annenberg Channel User:
Our license provides off-air
recording, rebroadcast, and duplication rights for the Annenberg Channel
programs. There is no fee for this license. This combined license replaces
the three separate licenses that were required in the past and gives general
duplication rights for all programs taped from the Annenberg Channel.
If you have already submitted one or more of the old licenses, you do
not need to resubmit this new one unless you have information to update.
The Channel's broadcast schedule consists of the following:
- Teacher professional development workshops
- Teacher professional development libraries
- Programs from Annenberg Media's instructional series
Please read, complete, sign, and return two (2) original copies of the License.
You may download the license
as a PDF document which can be filled in
electronically and printed. A signed original will be returned to
you for your file. The aforementioned
may be sent to:
Annenberg Media
Attn: Channel Licenses
1301 Pennsylvania Avenue NW #302
Washington, DC 20004
We look forward to the active participation of your teachers in our workshops
and courses. Teachers may register for workshops and courses directly
on the Web at www.learner.org/channel/workshops/register_info.html.
They can also find information on receiving optional graduate credit for
these workshops and courses, available from Colorado State University.
We look forward to a partnership with you.
Sincerely,
The Annenberg Channel Staff
P.S. Please note that receiving the Annenberg Channel's satellite
signal requires a Ku-band satellite dish and a specific Digital Satellite
Receiver (DSR) - a DigiCipher II 4000, 4001, 4200, 4200B, 4200C, 4200V,
5200 or 406. If you are not already receiving the Annenberg Channel
signal (or PBS's Adult Learning Services satellite feed), your media technician
MUST contact the Channel with DSR identification numbers prior to tuning
in the signal for the first time. (This one-time process is called "Authorization"
of your DSR.) Technicians should contact Dana Rouse by telephone at 1-800-228-8030,
extension 4. In addition, each site's technical contact should sign up
for the Channel-tech@learner.org
mailing list, to receive notice of technical issues relating to Channel
broadcasts.
